David Bovill demonstrated a transporter that permits easily importing English Wikipedia content into Federated Wiki. It lives at Activity and I made a more specific link at David transporter. It's a neat idea, but I wonder about the value of importing a static copy of something whose core strength is (can be) its dynamism. What are the cases where a static, disconnected local copy is better than an external link? I'll start a page about importing web pages
